Where it formed colonies of sword-shaped upright fresh green foliage, with at that time bulging seed pods at ground level. Which were the result of the bright purple white marked large flowers borne in sporadic bursts throughout the summer, at the base of the leaves. Easily grown in most types of fertile moisture retentive soils with adequate drainage.
