Description: An herbaceous climber, forming annual growth of 3-4m over small trees and shrubs, in the wild where we collected the seed in north-eastern Himalayas in the autumn of 2013. Bearing yellow locket shaped flowers June-July, followed by distinct inflated bullet-shaped purple seed pods hanging like grapes, backed by green-bronzy divided foliage. Easily grown in a site sheltered from strong winds, plant in shade growing into sun. Syn. Dicentra
