Our seed collection made on our ascent to Fansipan the highest mountain in northern Vietnam in 2006. Where they formed a colony of single stemmed shrubs or small trees, with sparingly prickly fulvous-tomentose stems 2-4m. Bearing large leaves to 1m long double-pinnately compound made up of numerous smallish grey-green leaflets. With terminal branched inflorescences, of large panicles of creamy white flowers followed by dark purple globose fruit.
