A very hardy deciduous woody stemmed twining climber with ovate leaves that are 10cm long on red stalks. Male plants bear masses of cup shaped, white fragrant flowers, while the flowers on female plants are followed by edible strawberry-flavoured yellow kiwi fruits, if pollinated. Best planted with the base in some shade with the top growth in sun, in any good soil. Unsexed plants.
