Description: Forming a small shrubby tree with a strong upright trunk, bearing broad heart-shaped glossy leaves 12.5cm across. Only 3-4m tall where we collected this seed, with a broad crown, the branches heavily draped with a mass of flat brown seed capsule resulting from the bright pink pea-flowers produced in May. Best grown in strong sunlight to encourage flowering, sheltered from the coldest winds, in a freely draining soil with some moisture retention.
