Description: Under this name we have a plant we obtained from cultivation in Taiwan, only time will tell if the name is correctly applied. As there are two entities with similar names. Our plant has lanceolate to narrowly elliptic spotted leaves 15-20 cm long and only 3-5 cm wide, on petioles 15-25 cm long. Arising from strong creeping densely scaly branched rhizomes, forming loose colonies. It should bear purple campanulate flowers with up to 8 lobes directly from its thick rhizomes, usually on short upright peduncles protruding above the surface of the soil/compost opening early spring in the wild. Easily grown in a container or in a sheltered spot in the garden, in full shade where the soil cannot waterlog.
