Medium sized with a spreading habit, bearing broad velvety leaves and an abundance of purple inflorescences, fringed by serrated florets from July to October, best in sun to part shade in a retentive soil. This collection was from a compact form, growing in full sun in the Taipingshan area of Northern Taiwan.
