Pot Size: 12 litre Price: £55.00 Description: We had not come across this magnificent evergreen species before in this part of the Himalayas. It was on our decent from The Singalila Ridge in the autumn of 2013 that we came across a group of 20m tall (shorter in our climate) trees by the side of the trail at a whisker below 2,000m altitude. It is a fairly well known early flowering species in cultivation forming its flower buds the previous autumn and opening its multi-petalled white fragrant flowers in spring. With 15-48cm long thick textured- leathery leaves that are glaucous below. Best grown in a warm sheltered position out of freezing winds in full sun to light shade, in a drained organic enriched soil.
