Description: Grown from cuttings of the cultivar we have grown in our walled garden for the past 40 years. Which has thrived on an east facing wall and the netting above it, forming a large plant, even larger if not cut back annually. We have harvested as much as 50kg of fruit annually from a single female plant, but only a fraction of that when not correctly pruned. Our plant has a male partner just down wind of it on the same wall. Both flower around June, large showy creamy, to complement the large rounded foliage covered in golden hair. Best grown in a rich moisture retentive soil, ours are shaded at the root. No problems with hardiness, the fruit ripen late December for us.
