Pot Size: 9cm Price: £9.00 Description: A dwarf evergreen woodland perennial, from the island of Yakushima southern Japan. Found growing in the very heavy rainfall areas in mountain forests and meadows. Forming small rosettes of lanceolate leaves with short upright scapes 5-10cm tall, topped by white funnel-shaped flowers April-June. A rare species grown for many years in the UK under the name of H. kawanoi which is a completely different, even smaller species. Best grown at an angle to allow excess water to drain out, in a well drained humus rich drained soil in shade.
