Description:
A small rosette-forming species with slender sharply spined stiff curved lanceolate silver leaves. Surrounding a slender upright flowering spike to 1.6m tall, adorned by large seed capsules, where the large bright blue funnel-shaped flowers had been. Only forming small sized plants where we found the seed, from the Cerrito Paramo not far from El Cocuy in the north east of Colombia in February 2016. Best grown in good light in a nutrient deficient soil/compost, that is adequately drained. Monocarpic.
