An easily grown rhizomatous perennial of aristocratic merit, with large leaves that are bronze when young on this form, later maturing to copper tinted. Bearing wide panicles of creamy-white flowers in summer on upright stems to 1.2m, with a spread of 2m. Best grown in part shade or even full shade in a moisture retentive soil.
