From one of our seed collections gathered in the autumn of 2005, from the high Boji Pass in the Hiroshima area of southern Honshu Japan. Where they formed small to medium sized trees 7-8m tall or multi-stemmed large shrubs, bearing serrated pinnate leaves comprised of 11 sharply-ended leaflets. Transforming to autumnal reds in this exposed site complimenting the heavy crop of orange-red fruit, which succeeded the white flowers carried in May to July. Easily grown in any well drained soil in sun or part shade.
