Pot Size: 7.5 litre Price: £35.00 Description: From one of our seed collections gathered from alongside a stream in a woodland, which was not far from the sea on the Gassan Peninsula Iwate, Japan in the autumn of 2005. Where this deciduous medium sized slow-growing very hardy shrub grew to 4m tall. Bearing small ovate acuminate serrated leaves to 5cm long, which glow in shades of red to purple in the autumn, complimenting the unusually large and conspicuous carmine-red globose fruit held on long slender stalks, the result of the small pinkish flowers produced in May and June. Easily grown in sun or shade in any type of reasonably fertile soil.
