Pot Size: 12 litre Price: £30.00 Description: A wonderful collection we gathered on Taebaeksan one of my favourite mountains in South Korea, from the old coal mining area in the bleak and harsh interior. Where it formed a large shrub or small multi-stemmed tree with ovate-oblong serrulate leaves 12.5cm long, soon turning a straw colour in autumn and falling amongs the first. Complimented on long wiry branched stalks, by distinct ageing red globose seed capsules with short obtuse clasping wings, bursting open to reveal the red-orang aril covered seed hanging by a thread. A rather confused identity still remains regarding this collection as in FOC it is E. sachalinensis, while FO Japan it is E. planipes
