Pot Size: 2 litre (deep) Price: £15.00 Description: An evergreen normally epiphytic species we collected in the north of Vietnam, on the border with Yunnan at Y Tý, a real treasure chest of botanical rarities. With arching stems to 35 cm long, carrying alternate parchment-textured ovate foliage. Bearing axillary congested clusters of white ageing greenish flowers from April to June on short pedicells on long peduncles. The flowers are followed by bright red fruit which persists until the following season, but differing from other forms of this species, as the fruit migrates to above the foliage while ripening. This terrestrially growing collection was gathered in 2006, when Sue and I went to take a look at a new area I had previously discovered in 2003. Easily grown in a shaded position in a moisture retentive, but well drained soil.
