Description:
One of the most exquisite of all the deciduous foliage shrubs we have collected, with the bare slender branches bearing a clusters of small yellow unisexual flowers in spring. Renowned for its elegant thin textured tri-lobed broadly ovate leaves which are a bright green all summer transforming to one of the best autumnal deep-yellows available, bearing large green rounded fruits on the female plants in autumn. Best grown in sun to part shade in a freely drained acid-neutral soil with some moisture retention. Seed collected on Mt. Soburiyama, overlooking Fukuoka, Japan.
