Pot Size: 10 litre
Description: From seed we collected on the slopes of Mt. Daisen (a popular ski resort) in the autumn of 2005 at around 800m. Where it formed a small densely branched shrub with angled green wing-less branches, bearing small thick-textured and percistent glabrous (f. apterus is pilose) elliptic serrulate leaves 3 cm long on very short petioles. Heavily laden with small orange fruit, where the outer covering had rolled up to reveal the pair of aril covered seed. Easily grown in sun or shade, but flowering and fruiting better in sun, in any type of drained fertile soil.
