Fuchsia nigricans - BSWJ10664

Pot Size: 2 litre
Price: £15.00
Description:
From one of our seed collections gathered from a botanically rich area of Termales del Ruiz, in the south of Colombia at 3350m in 2004. Where this small shrub commonly seen at 75cm tall although capable of double that, could be seen in profusion on steep banks at the edge of the track we were climbing. With masses of pendulous bristly flared red trumpet-flowers, that attracted the pollinating humming birds, followed by glossy black fruit. Best grown in a moisture retentive soil in full sun to part shade. Not tested for hardiness.
