Description: We were convinced that this was another species, until it flowered in our trials field. Forming an impressive arching deciduous shrub to a height of 2m bearing small ovate opposite leaves 5-12cm long on lateral branches, bearing fragrant white flowers in what appeared to be huge terminal dense panicles 1m long, but were comprised of many congested cymes June to July. Where we gathered this seed collection from the northern Himalayas in 2002 with Sally Goddard at 2700m. Easily grown in any type of drained fertile soil in sun or shade.
