Bearing in May-June long pendulous cymes of white to pale pink flowers followed by large red fruit. A wonderfully dainty smallish shrub that we collected seed of from the forest on Mt. Kirishimayama, Kyushu southern Japan in the autumn of 2006 at 1120m. Easily grown in sun or part shade in any type of fertile drained soil.
