Pot Size: 4 litre (deep) Price: £25.00 Description: A new species to cultivation which we collected the unusual large edible ball-shaped compound purple fruit to 10 cm across, made up of up to 70 berries. An evergreen glabrous twining climber with elliptic leathery sharply tipped leaves to 10 cm long, bearing axillary large flowers to 5 cm across, described as being white, red, purplish red, or occasionally yellowish with a large boss of central stamen, May to July in the wild, fruiting October to December. Our collection from Fansipan the highest mountain in northern Vietnam in 2006. Best grown in some shelter from cold, in sun to part shade.
