Forming offsets when happy, which flower after a year or two then depart, leaving its own offsets for the following years. New into cultivation and little known or appreciated, with dramatic purple tinged branched stems topped by deep purple domed flowering umbels by mid-late summer above the 3-5 clefted or parted leaves. One of our collections gathered in the high mountains of Shikoku Island, Japan in 2006. Easily grown in any type of drained fertile soil in sun or light shade.
