Bearing large odd-pinnate leathery leaves composed of 8-12 long-tipped leaflets that are up to 15cm long and prominently reticulately veined. Producing 20-30cm long panicles of yellow-greenish flowers in June, which can be followed by rounded yellowish fruit 2cm across. From seed given to us by Unche who now lives and works in Japan, but used to be the Curator of Chollipo Arboretum in Korea. Best grown in full sun to part shade in any type of fertile drained soil in a sheltered warm position.
