From the section Discolores is an outstanding white fruiting species that has come to us via Ness BG, originating from a seed collection in Yunnan by the outstanding plantsman Maurice Foster. It is a sturdy large leafed species with foliage not too dissimilar to our native mountain ash while the abundant small fruit is pure white, held in weighted pendant panicles.
