Description:
One of the most unusual shrubs, with a completely prostrate mat-forming habit with slender greenish stems rooting at the nodes. With opposite pairs of small cordate undulating toothed margined leaves, the main veins conspicuously yellowish above. Bearing curious funnel-shaped twin-flowers in the axils in spring followed by plump red fruit with twin apices. Easily grown in an acid-neutral humus rich soil in full to part shade.
