Description: From a fleshy root this Himalayan member of the ginger family, has robust stems to 80cm and strong tufts of glossy lanceolate leaves, bearing pale purple hooded and broadly lipped flowers, from July on. Plant 15cm deep, in a well drained peaty soil in part shade-sun.
