Pot Size: 2 litre
Description: From one of our seed collections gathered from the hills of north-eastern Taiwan in the autumn of 1996. Where this species had escaped from cultivation where it is highly valued for its very fragrant white flowers, having originated from the Sino-Himalayan region. A rhizomatous perennial we have grown in an open field for many years with minimal protection to the roots, where it has thrived and multiplied with upright stems to 1.1m tall bearing broad pale green leaves and a loose terminal spike of scented white flowers in late summer to October. Easily grown in full sun to part shade in a leafy moisture retentive but drained soil, protect the rhizomes from frost. **** **** **** **** **** *** This plant is also supplied as open ground/bare-rooted plant when dormant.
