Description: A little known evergreen epiphytic species which we collected in the very north of Vietnam, with arching purple speckled stems to 50 cm long, carrying alternate thick-textured slender foliage. Bearing axillary congested clusters of white/green flowers in May to June followed by bright red fruit which persists until the following season. This seed collection originates from the steep slopes of Fan Si Pan, Vietnam's highest mountain, fast gaining a reputation for its hardy plants. Where we were accompanied by Dan Hinkley, USA in the autumn of 1999. Easily grown in a shaded position in a moisture retentive well drained soil.
