Where this naturally multi-stemmed large shrub formed 5-6m tall broad well-branched small trees or large shrubs. Bearing narrowly oblong-ovate 7 to 11 leafleted leaves on this collection held on elegantly long red petioles, while the terminal inflorescences of dark purple fruit were on long branched racemes to 50cm. An easily grown plant which has shrugged off all the weather that the past twenty years has thrown at it. Easily grown in a humus rich drained soil in good light, sheltered from freezing winds.
