Description: New in cultivation from one of our collections gathered from T'aebaeksan mountain in South Korea in 1993, a perennial species with angled stems to 40cm tall, emerging from long slender fleshy rhizomes. With few oblong sessile leaves 5-10cm long, slightly hairy below and axillary white-green tipped flowers born on slender stalks, appearing in spring almost hidden by their subtending narrowly ovate green bracts. Easily grown in part-full shade in a well drained fertile soil with some moisture retention
