Description: Our highest elevation collection ever of this clump forming perennial, with robust branching stems (lax when young) to 1.8m tall in time. Bearing grey mealy aromatic leaves to 20cm long on short stalks, composed of 3 times parted orbicular-rhombic leaflets. Terminating in loose panicles to 30cm long of, purple-pink pendant cup-shaped flowers from July to October. From one of our seed collections gathered at Sandakphu north India, the highest point on the Singalila Ridge along the border with Nepal at 3,636m. Best grown in full or part shade in any type of fertile well drained soil that does not dry out, supported by a shrub while young. Will not tolerate too much heat.
