Description: A most unusual perennial species we collected seed of from the Hirotani Wetlands of Kyushu in 2001. Where it formed slowly spreading clumps of upright stems to 90cm tall clothed in narrow willowy toothed foliage. Bearing by late summer conspicuous blue flowers from the upper leaf axils. Easily grown in either full sun or part shade in a drained soil that has some moisture retention in summer.
