Where it grew in part shade of hazels and Daphniphyllum in boulder strewn shrubberies. Forming a robust sticky-haired upright perennial, with cordate rough textured and serrated leaves on long petioles. Borne on 1.5 tall stems with terminal branched spikes of yellow purple tinged long-lipped flowers, June-August. Easily grown in full sun to part shade in a well drained soil.
