Where this perennial species grew in the forest thrusting upright robust dark purple stems to 1.5m, bearing large leaves made up of numerous small shallowly tri-lobed orbicular leaflets. Flowering in small terminal cymes of staminate rounded white flowers in summer. Best grown in full sun-part shade in a humus rich soil that is well drained.
