Where they formed low growing creeping colonies on sunny well drained ledges. With flat fan-forming grassy blades of foliage to 30 cm tall in richer soils, bearing large yellow cupped flowers displayed on taller branched stems, soon followed by inflated seed capsules. Requires full sun-part shade and a well drained soil. Multiple seedlings in this size.
