Actinidia kolomikta 'Tomoko' (F) - BSWJ4243

Pot Size: 4 litre (deep)
Price: £35.00
Description:
A colourful female selection of our collection from Odaesan, South Korea, of this very hardy (-30C winters) deciduous, woody twining climber to 4-5m. One of few temperate zone plants with naturally pink and white leaves, that occur when the leaves are exposed to sunlight for part of the day, colours well for us on a tall north facing fence that catches the sun in the mornings. Female lightly scented white flowers are borne in the leaf axils in spring, that are pollinated by our intertwining male clone, regularly resulting in small edible fruit by late August here. Named for our Japanese friend who trained at Wisley in 1995.
