From robust creeping rhizomes, rise strong dark red arching stems of alternating long elliptic leaves, terminating in a panicle of white flowers in May to June, followed by fleshy red fruits which turn purple with age. Height 60-150cm. Spread 45cm. Requires partial shade and moist well drained soil. Our collection from the Singalila Ridge, West Bengal, India.
