Description: Syn. Cimicifuga americana. A rarely encountered north-east American species growing from shortly creeping rhizomes. Found mainly in mountainous areas, with 1-1.6m tall upright branching stems, bearing bold foliage and slender upright spikes of snowy-white bottle-brush like flowers August-September. Easily grown in a rich soil in full-part shade.
