Description: A Clump-forming perennial, which is a member of the bellflower family, that we collected seed of in the mountains of Niigata, Japan in 2005. Where we found this species growing on steep banks in part shade at the edge of the forest. Forming clumps of broadly heart-shaped foliage with 70cm stems, bearing blue funnel shaped deeply lobed bellflowers June-August. Easily grown in most types of fertile drained soils in sun or part shade.
