Description: An enchanting prostrate growing species we encountered on the cold slopes of Volcán de Orizaba, Mexico's highest peak, at 3300m in 2004. Where this small form only attained a height of 25 cm. A common sight covering large areas of heavily grazed mountainside, forming slowly creeping clumps of very finely divided dark green foliage with large yellow ray flowers 3-4cm across. For a sunny warm spot in well drained soil that has some moisture retention.
