Where it formed an impressive perennial, with robust upright branching stems to 2m tall clothed in greyish-green foliage comprising small leaflets, topped with panicles of long spidery purple-pink sepals encasing long yellow stamen. Easily grown in sun or shade in any fertile drained soil.
