Description:
Only recently described to science, a very variable natural hybrid between our native R. aculeatus and the relatively tender R. hypophyllum. Surprising that it has only recently been noticed by scientists, as it must be thousands of years old, in which time there is a possibility of many hundreds of combinations, as the plants we have so far encountered are all fertile. This collection is from the R. aculeatus side, appearing similar to that species, but with abnormally larger cladodes and less branching. Seed collected from plants up to 2m tall. Found in southern Spain
