Description: Deciduous shrub from one of our collections in the high mountains of Northern Shikoku, Japan at 1500m in 1998. Bearing simple or basely branched terminal and axillary congested racemes of sizeable white flowers from May to July. Which weigh down the slender branches of opposite finely toothed leaves, with spreading hairs below. Height 3m. Thrives in any reasonable soil in sun or part shade. Hardy to -20 C.
