Pot Size: 4 litre Price: £18.00 Description: A rare find, from my seed collection made in Longzhoushan Sichuan, China at 3220m altitude. Where I found this wonderful perennial species growing on steep shady rock strewn slopes, where there would be adequate moisture during the growing period. In spring fat buds unfold from stout rhizomes, of wonderfully textured narrow pinnately arranged bronzy leaflets (to 11 on this collection). Followed during June-July, by branched panicles of white flowers maturing to pink on stems to 1.7m tall. Requires a moisture-retentive soil. Thrives best in partial shade.
