From a short sturdy upright trunk with many slender upwardly inclined congested branches, bearing tiny-small (when young) variably orbicular-elliptic shaped leaves which can be shallowly lobed. Bearing terminal cymes of small white flowers followed by conspicuous plump red fruit. Easily grown in any type of well drained fertile soil with some moisture retention in full sun to part shade. Our collection N. Luzon, Philippines. Originally thought to be V. parvifolia as the foliage is so small when young.
