Description:
A strong very wide growing tendril climber with tri-lobbed serrulate leathery and somewhat downy leaves, carrying loads of long sausage-shaped pendant yellow fruit. Which were the result of large widely opening pale pink flowers, adorned with a frilly white centre and a narrow purple ring, with the petals held at almost right angles to the green tubes. Found growing on the outskirts of the huge Chingazá National Park a relatively short distance east of Bogota in Colombia at 3150m in February 2024.
