Pot Size: 1.5 litre Price: £25.00 Description: We first encountered this cultivar in Lucca Italy at the annual flower show that we participate in. Like most species it arises from a relatively strong slowly creeping rhizome, forming small colonies of upright parchment textured glossy evergreen leaves which are oblong-lanceolate to 46 cm long by about 9 cm wide on petioles to 45 cm long. Although in this cultivar the leaf is conspicuously marked by lots of white spotting surrounded by a halo of darker fading to green. Whilst still bearing the annual flowering directly from the rhizome (hence do not bury them deeply) solitary campanulate 6-lobed purple flowers late summer to autumn. We have grown this species outside for many years in shelter from freezing winds in a soil that does not waterlog, in dense to light shade. Syn. Chromatograp
