Description: From one of our collections gathered from Aomori in the extreme north of Honshu, Japan in 2005. A vigorous deciduous woody stemmed tendril climber, with large shallowly lobed palmate leaves which are brightly coloured in autumn. Bearing bunches of tiny pale green flowers in summer, followed by small but conspicuous black bloomy grapes. Height to 20m. Easily grown in sun or shade in any type of fertile well drained soil with a bit of moisture retention.
