Description:
From 2660m altitude, growing at the outskirts of forested land, which was on the edge of the Paramo above Murillo on the eastern side of Volcan del Ruiz, Colombia, in early 2024. A tuberous rooted herbaceous twinning climber closely allied to Alstroemeria, forming a relatively large twining herbaceous climber to 4-5m long. Clothed in broad foliage and terminating in huge congested umbels of faintly spotted orange-yellow elongated funnel-shaped flowers, from mid-summer until late autumn. Easily grown in a rich, but well draining soil, ideally within the shelter of an evergreen shrub providing protection for the roots from severe frost. SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FROM LATE SPRING 2025
